Childhood Adventures

Dear Family-

I woke up singing the never ending story theme, so i thought that it was time that we did something that reminds us all of our childhood- have a never ending story marathon!! I know you are all excited. Its just an idea, but i really want to get together all of the siblings and do some sort of childhood remembrance thing:) I love you all and i will see you soon

Happy Birthday to the Rangel Angel!!!

Happy Fourteenth Burrrthday to our favorite chef! I just wanted to take a minute and list a few of the reasons I am glad that Rachel joined our family fourteen years ago.

• She is amazingly intelligent. I think this is helped along by the fact that practically every time I see her, she is reading a book. Helps with the vocabulary among other things.


• She is very persistent and dedicated. I know not all of us have been successful at learning to play the piano, but so many times when I am home she is plucking away at that instrument, getting better and better.


• She is so BEAUTIFUL! Have you ever seen such a girl? I would think not.
  
• She has a lot of entertaining stories about her friends including Biz and Pocahontas.


• Wingapo!


• She has such a sweet nature. She is so willing to make us all dessert or other yummy treats. Maybe she is just trying to fatten us all up so she can eat us for Thanksgiving this year...


• She knows what is right. She just wants to be a good girl. How rare is that these days?


• She has a funny little laugh. Actually a few: the silent body shake, the "hahahahahaha" that starts up high and comes down, and many more.
  
• She loves us all so much. I know Rachel is willing to do anything for any one of us. She is such a wonderful sister and an amazing friend!
  

I love you Rachel! I hope you had a wonderful birthday!

• She is hilarious! I love being around her cute, bubbly personality:)

Sleeped over at Alana's and Stevey Pants'

Starting at 7:00, it was a ball. By the time Amanda showed up at about 8:15, Spencer, Shawn, Shawna, Laura, M-Dog, Rangel, Anglina, and Emma White-T were already there partying like it was 1999...ten years later. Amanda was late because she was taking care of her ailing mother who is mostly confined to a chair...and it was a really good episode of "What Not to Wear." Wog and Courtney came in shortly after. But then we started watching funny Youtube videos including this one here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=98gOW0ODzaE. It's a laugh, that one.

We then played games including Snort and a variation thereof. Wog and M-Dog walked away victorious on snort and Angline and Amanda duked it out for the...other game. We got lots of new material so you better watch out.

Then we watched a movie which was called "The Mask of Zorro." What a movie of romance, intrigue, and adventure! We were hanging on to our hats by the end. Either that or sleeping.

A Jared Story You Will Like

Ever since Jared was about one, I would ask him in the morning as I was changing his diaper, "How did you sleep? Did you dream about Mama?" and he would always get a little smile on his face and correct me: "Dada." Then I would say, "Oh, you dreamed about Dada?! How silly!" Of course he doesn't really know what I'm asking him, but he realizes that it is a game to contradict me.

These past few weeks, if I ask him if he dreamed about Mama he will say "Dada," but if I ask him if he dreamed about Dada then he will say "Mama." So this morning I decided to test his knowledge about who goes with whom. I asked him, "Did you dream about Grandpa?" and he said, "Maw" (grandma). I asked him about all my siblings, and he was able to match them with their appropriate spouses. I asked if he dreamed about Scott (my nephew whom Jared LOVES) and he said "Daw" (Dawn, my niece).

Then I thought you guys would be interested to see who Jared matched YOU guys up with:
