Alan, Jenny, and Jared's Wish List

Here is our list. These are just ideas, and we don't really care whether we get any of this. :)
  • “Babysitting coupons” that we can use when Jenny and I want a night on the town.
  • Soundtrack from the movie Elf
  • A book called North and South by Elizabeth Gaskell—for Jenny
  • A John Steinbeck novel for Alan (in paperback so it’s cheap). Here are some we don’t own already: Cannery row, East of Eden, Moon is down, The Pastures of heaven
  • Cookbook called 101 Things to do with a Cake Mix
  • Café Rio gift card. Any restaurant gift card for that matter. (Olive Garden, PF Chang’s, and Chili’s are all good options.)
  • The original How the Grinch Stole Christmas movie. NOT the one with Jim Carey!
  • Fun books for Jared. Here are some specific ideas: The Very Hungry Caterpillar by Eric Carle, Brown Bear Brown Bear What do you See?, Anything by Doctor Seuss(we already own One Fish, Two Fish), Barnyard Dance by Sandra Boynton
  • Toys for Jared. He’s sort of getting sick of inanimate objects that he can’t do anything with. But we’ve found that he likes things that move or that have sounds or little things that he has to do. Here are some ideas:
  1. Toy trucks, cars, trains, etc. You can get these at the Dollar Tree. Yay for the Dollar Tree! It seems like they’re fairly cheap. I want to say it was a dollar or so.
  2. Giant Legos
  3. One of those little boxes that has holes of different shapes and little plastic blocks of each shape that fit in the holes. You know the kind. It’s called a shape sorter.
  4. One of those things that makes different farm animal sounds. It’s round and has a dial that you set to one of the animals and then you pull a lever to make that sound.
